(Beijing, December 7) Pat McQuaid, President of the International Cycling Union (UCI) who had just arrived in Beijing, gave an interview to the media this afternoon. He said that after the 2008 Olympic Games the UCI will work with the Chinese Cycling Association to make Tour de China a world-class event just as Tour de France. According to their plans, the first Tour de China race will be organized in 2009.
