(Beijing, December 9) In the women's team pursuit final of the "Good Luck Beijing" UCI Track Cycling World Cup Classics held in Beijing today, Svetlana Galuk, Lesya Kalitovska and Lyubov Shulika of Ukraine beat their Russian counterparts to win the gold.

All together five teams were competing in the qualification of the non-Olympic event with four entering the final.

Ukraine, who led the qualification with 50.97km/h, beat Russia in the final while Cuba, ranked third in the qualification, defeated Italy again in the bronze medal-race to settle for the third place.
