Good Luck Beijing 2007-12-09 20:33:00
(Beijing, December 9) Theo Bos of the Netherlands, who had won a gold in the men's team sprint on the opening day of the "Good Luck Beijing" UCI Track Cycling World Cup Classics, kept his form posing a stirring victory in the men's individual sprint this evening.
The Olympic qualifying event attracted 65 riders from around the world racing in the same venue with 16 entering the elimination rounds.
Theo Bos outpaced Mickael Bourgain of Team COF in the final clash while Stefan Nimke of Team RAD was content with a bronze.
"Frankly speaking, I won't reject victories and I like challenges," the double gold medalist said, adding "It's still 8 months to go (to the 2008 Olympics) and I hope to stand on the top podium when I'm back to Beijing, just like today."
