The UCI 2007-2008 Track Cycling World Cup Classics includes 9 men’s events and 8 women’s events, i.e., 17events in total. 9 men’s events include 7Olympic Medal Events—men’s sprint, men’s team sprint, men’s individual pursuit, men’s team pursuit, men’s Keirin, men’s points race and men’s Madison; as well as 2 non-Olympic events—men’s scratch and men’s 1 kilometre time trial. 8 women’s events include 3 Olympic Medal Events—women’s sprint, women’s individual pursuit and women’s points race; as well as 5 non-Olympic events—women’s 500 meters time trial, women’s Keirin, women’s team sprint, women’s team pursuit and women’s scratch. The distance of several Olympic Medal Events is different between this World Cup and Beijing Olympic Games. This World Cup is open to all UCI National Federations and Professional Teams.
